Virginia was born in Killeen, Texas and lived in Tennessee before moving to Georgia. She attained her B.A. from Georgia Southern University, with honors. While at Georgia Southern, she served as a student ethics judge and as President of the Panhellenic sororities. Virginia graduated from Mercer Law School, where she was elected to serve the entire student body as Honor Court Justice. She was also elected to serve as President of Mercer Law’s Advocacy Council while competing in five state-wide and national law school competitions. At Mercer Law’s graduation, she was honored with the James C. Estes Moot Court Award and inducted to the Order of the Barristers. After graduation, Virginia coached three Mercer Law School mock trial teams per year for over five years.

Virginia remains active in the mock trial community as the Vice Chair of the Georgia High School Mock Trial. She also the only female faculty presenter for the upcoming Trial Academy for Georgia high schoolers. For the past three years she has served as the Middle Georgia Regional Coordinator for the Legal Food Frenzy benefiting the 24 counties and the Middle Georgia Food Bank. During her time as a board member of the MGALERT, Middle Georgia Alliance to End Regional Trafficking, Virginia spoke to organizations about human labor and sex trafficking while lobbying for continued protections for victims.

Virginia is licensed to practice in every trial court in Georgia, along with the Georgia Court of Appeals, Georgia Supreme Court, and the United States District Courts for Georgia.

Virginia is actively involved in the legal community, including the State Bar of Georgia, Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, and the American Association of Justice. She serves as President of Middle Georgia Women Lawyers Association. She is also President of Macon’s Young Lawyers Association and on the Board of Directors for the state-wide Young Lawyers Division. For the Young Lawyers Division of the State Bar of Georgia, Virginia is a co-editor of the YLD Review, the state-wide publication.

In 2019, Virginia attended and graduated from the Georgia Defense Lawyers Association’s Trial and Mediation Academy. In 2020, Virginia was selected and graduated from the Georgia Bar’s Young Lawyers Division Leadership Academy. In 2021, she was selected for Georgia Trial Lawyers Association’s LEAD program and graduated in 2022. In 2022, Virginia was selected to serve her alma mater on the Georgia Southern Alumni Board of Directors from 2022-2025.

Virginia and her husband, Jordan, met at Mercer Law School. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, baking, live music, and traveling.
