What is one of the best things about working at Whitley Law Firm? The opportunity to truly help clients, says Associate Whitney Butcher. "My desire to help people was a major reason I went to law school, so that's ultimately what drew me to personal injury," says Whitney, who works primarily in the firm's dangerous drug and defective medical device practice area, but also assists with general personal injury and auto accident cases.

One example was helping a client who was in a bad automobile accident who was denied coverage from her insurance because they said she was contributorily negligent for riding with an intoxicated driver. The individual had all her front teeth knocked out, in addition to orthopaedic injuries. Whitney, however, helped show that the individual did not knowingly ride with an intoxicated driver and was able to obtain compensation for her injuries and damages.

In another instance, Whitney helped represent a client who had a faulty orthopaedic device that required invasive revision surgery. "We are able to obtain a good resolution for that client, by representing his best interests and making sure all of his injuries and damages were accounted for."
