William Ashe is an experienced trial attorney with a career track record of determined effective representation and consistent sustained success on behalf of his clients.
William Ashe started trying cases when he was 10 years old. At a school mock trial, Will defended a wrongly accused student and won.
My practice is 100% devoted to going to Court and fighting for my clients.
He attended George Stevens in Blue Hill, where he was often asked to argue the most difficult positions in school debates. Will was always willing to stick up for the underdog.
Ashe graduated Cum Laude from Gettysburg College, majoring in Political Science and American Government. He also served on the Student Conduct Review Board, arguing on behalf of the student body in instances of alleged student misconduct.
When somebody says, ?How can you defend someone?' My answer is, ?How could I not?'"
"I remember there was a student who had accidentally grabbed a member of campus security. The student was trying to break up a fight and did not realize that security was mixed in. Faculty saw that situation and thought the student should be punished, I didn't see it that way.
These experiences of arguing for the underdog taught Ashe a valuable lesson. "Life isn't cut and dried, everyone deserves a voice."
Ashe went on to attend University of Maine School of Law graduating Cum Laude in 2009. At law school, Ashe was on the Student Bar Association, and the Moot Court Team where he successfully argued in the Trilateral Moot Court Competition in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Ashe also served as a Student Attorney at the Cumberland Legal Aid Clinic. At the time of his graduation, Ashe had acted as counsel in over 100 cases and had personally won more contested hearings than any other student attorney in the Clinic's history.
Ashe practiced at a law firm in Southern Maine from 2010-2017 representing thousands of individuals on charges as serious as Murder down to traffic infractions while also maintaining a boutique family law practice. During the eight years he practiced in southern Maine, Ashe tried and won more criminal jury trials than any other defense attorney in York County that he's aware of.
After almost a decade in firm practice, Ashe decided the time was right to open his own law office, his way, back in his hometown.
I knew I wanted to work at an office where the number one commitment was results for my clients, and eventually I realized it was up to me to create that office.
When it comes to prospective cases Ashe has a simple message: "Give me a call and let's talk about your case, you'll experience the difference."
