William (Will) Edwards’ practice includes automobile accidents, personal injury, wrongful death cases, civil and business litigation, and residential landlord-tenant cases. He is also licensed to practice in U.S. District Court.
Mr. Edwards graduated summa cum laude from Presbyterian College and cum laude from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he was a member of The Order of the Coif, The Order of the Barristers, and Order of Wig and Robe. He is a member of the American Bar, the South Carolina Bar, and the Lexington County Bar Associations, as well as the National Trial Lawyers and the South Carolina Association for Justice.
Mr. Edwards has held leadership roles in pro bono service programs with the South Carolina Bar/Young Lawyer’s Division, has participated in the South Carolina Bar’s Ask-a-Lawyer Program, and is an avid representative of military personnel in residential landlord/tenant matters through Fort Jackson.
Mr. Edwards was awarded the 2012 Pro Bono Award from the Service Members and Veterans in Law, and recognition in 2014 from the U.S. Department of the Army for his services. Mr. Edwards has also been awarded Top Young Attorney (2012) by Columbia Living Magazine, Top 40 Under 40 by the National Trial Lawyers, Rising Star by Super Lawyers, and has received an AV rating of Preeminent; the highest rating possible in both legal ability and ethical standards, by Martindale-Hubbell.
His civic activities include the Lexington Chamber of Commerce, the West Columbia Beautification Foundation, the Columbia YMCA, and the Vista Nights Rotary Club.
Mr. Edwards is also active in his church and serves as an elder.
