After completing his undergraduate degree in Philosophy at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, Jay received his MBA from Benedictine University. Jay holds both Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant designations and is a Certified Financial Planner. As founder and President of Mukerji Financial Group, Jay spent nearly a decade deeply involved in financial planning, wealth management, as well as trust and estate planning. Recognizing the overlapping legal needs and implications, Jay made the deliberate decision to pursue law and received his JD from Valparaiso University.
Jay Mukerji is known for his deep commitment to community. Originally from Illinois, Jay dedicated his early twenties to leadership roles within the India Association of Greater Springfield. He was President of the association and led the Association's Youth Group and Youth Football League for underprivileged children.
Jay made his home in Ann Arbor in 2016 to start a family and establish roots within a community he could serve. Jay is married and his wife is a Professor of Public Health at the University of Michigan. He enjoys long distance running and spending time with his Havanaese, Baxter.
