Rachel was born and raised in Southern Pines, North Carolina is an associate at Van Camp, Meacham & Newman, PLLC. Rachel attended Wake Forest University for her undergraduate and double majored in Psychology and Sociology, graduating with Honors in Sociology. After graduating from college, Rachel attended UNC for law school and was a member of UNC’s National Moot Court Team, where she developed her passion for litigation and advocacy. Rachel and her husband, Marshall, moved to Boone after she graduated from law school, where Rachel worked as a staff attorney for Legal Aid of North Carolina for almost four years. In late 2021, Rachel joined Van Camp, Meacham & Newman, PLLC as a civil associate, and her areas of practice include civil litigation, contract law, employment law, personal injury, and eminent domain. Rachel is involved with various non-profit organizations in the community and prioritizes pro bono work in her career.
