
William J. Doyle is the founder of Doyle APC, a San Diego-based product liability law firm. Since 1998, he has represented individuals nationwide in complex class action litigation against Fortune 500 companies, including Apple, Honda, Sony, LG, and Amazon. Courts throughout the United States have appointed Mr. Doyle as lead or co-lead counsel in numerous class actions and multi-district litigations. He served as co-lead counsel in the Apple iPhone product defect litigation, achieving a $20 million class settlement after six years of contentious litigation. In the Honda Civic Hybrid litigation, he helped obtain a settlement valued at over $165 million for consumers misled about fuel economy and battery defects. As co-lead counsel in the NVIDIA graphics chip litigation, he helped secure a settlement valued at over $500 million. In the TransUnion credit report litigation, Mr. Doyle certified a class of more than 9 million consumers and obtained a nationwide settlement valued at over $109 million. Mr. Doyle has represented thousands of clients in mass tort cases involving defective medical devices and pharmaceuticals, including hernia and surgical mesh products manufactured by Johnson & Johnson, Medtronic, and C.R. Bard. His firm has successfully resolved hundreds of cases on behalf of people injured by surgical mesh products. He previously co-founded Doyle Lowther LLP and was a partner at the nation's largest class action law firm. Mr. Doyle earned his economics degree from the University of San Diego and his J.D. from California Western School of Law (1996). He is admitted to practice in California state and federal courts.
