David Laborde has dedicated his career to fighting for injured individuals in complex personal injury cases. Inspired by his father, a lawyer and judge, David pursued law after briefly considering medicine, earning his degree from Tulane Law School in 1991. He clerked for the Honorable Juan Torruella on the U.S. First Circuit Court of Appeals before returning to Louisiana to open the Laborde Law Firm in 1995.
Deeply connected to Louisiana’s people and culture, David has represented a diverse range of clients—from Native American tribes before state and federal tribunals to families facing life-altering injuries. He is a life member of the Multi–Million Dollar Advocates Forum, recognized by peers as a top trial lawyer, and holds the highest ethical ratings in his field. He is also fluent in Spanish.
For David, the most rewarding part of his work is making a meaningful difference for clients in their most difficult moments. He has successfully litigated cases from state and federal courts all the way to the Louisiana Supreme Court and the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
