Amy was born in Austin, Texas and moved to Washington, D.C. where she attended high school before returning to Austin to obtain her undergraduate degree from The University of Texas. From there she obtained her law degree at Southern Methodist University in Dallas where she has lived and practiced for the last 25 years.
Amy has pursued a personal injury litigation career from the start. From asbestos litigation to medical malpractice to catastrophic injury cases, she does not shy away from taking on the insurance companies and large corporate defendants. Her most recent successes include a high seven figure settlement in a premises case obtained for the family of a 15 year old who perished when a neighbor’s tree crushed him to death; a high a six figure settlement in a premises case obtained for a young man who suffered a gunshot wound at a public gun show; and a six figure verdict in a conservative east Texas county for the driver of an 18 wheeler struck by an oilfield worker who was driving under the influence while on the job.
Amy serves on the board of the Dallas Trial Lawyers Association and is an active member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, as well. She is also a member of the American Society of Interior Designers. When she isn’t practicing, she loves spending time with her family - husband, Barry; daughter, Charlotte, a freshman at the University of Alabama; son Carter, a junior at Jesuit High School in Dallas; and dogs, Sunny, a mini dachshund, and Tito, a golden retriever – and playing tennis, water skiing, golfing and doing residential interiors for friends and family.
