Attorney Angelo Maragos is a member of the firm and has more than 30 years of experience. Attorney Maragos splits his time between the Firm’s health care practice and the litigation team.
During his career, Attorney Maragos has represented and advised skilled nursing homes, assisted living facilities, physical therapy providers in the areas of Medicaid, Medicare, conservatorship proceedings, surveys and civil monetary penalties, patient's rights and collections. He regularly appears before the Department of Social Services in contested administrative appeals, and the Department of Public Health involving licensure issues.
Attorney Maragos also maintains an active practice on behalf of individuals and their family members. He has tried cases before courts and juries in various actions involving motor vehicle collisions, tractor-trailer collisions, dog bite cases, breach of contract and school abductions. He has further been involved in commercial litigation involving partnership disputes, lease disputes, and personal guarantees.
Attorney Maragos graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Washington & Lee Law School. He is licensed to practice in both Connecticut and New York. He is also a member of the Connecticut trial Lawyers Association and the American Association for Justice (AAJ). As a result of his verdicts, he was invited to join the National Trial Lawyers Association, where he has been a member by invitation since 2017.
