Anthony (Tony) Vieira has been a practicing lawyer for over 28 years. As a trial lawyer presenting cases to juries in a variety of types of cases, he has tried more than 400 trials to verdict.

His first law job was as a U.S. Navy JAGC beginning in 1990. He was alternately a prosecutor and a defense council for four years while in the Navy. Most of that time was spent stationed at what was previously the Navy's Treasure Island Naval Station in San Francisco Bay. He next worked with the Los Angeles County District Attorney and was assigned to the Lyle and Erik Menendez case retrial beginning in 1994. He then worked as a courtroom deputy in Glendale. He next worked as the lead prosecutor on a gang taskforce for the Pasadena-Altadena area. His last assignment as a deputy district attorney was in the hard core gang unit. He tried 25 murder trials to verdict along with many other types of gang cases. From 2000 to 2003 he worked as a civil trial lawyer in the San Francisco area on cases involving asbestos, tobacco, pharmaceutical, and many other toxic tort type injuries. In 2003 he returned to his own practice in Southern California where he continued as an "of counsel" trial lawyer doing many types of civil trials. He has tried many civil cases to verdict. During this time frame he also returned to criminal defense work. His work has been in both State and Federal court.

He grew up in the Midwest and the Northeast, and has been a resident of California, sometimes northern, sometimes southern, for the last 28 years.

Vieira continues the trial of civil and criminal cases up to the current time. He believes the law is a high and noble calling ? that trained, impassioned, and creative lawyers have exceptional power to change society and culture for the better. He believes lawyers can do so much more than the often self-limiting role they currently play in society and culture. And he hopes to impart those same high ideals to others.
