Arlene M. Parra, Esq., is a personal injury attorney and Founding Partner of Parra Klein LLC in Elmwood Park, NJ, where her practice specializes in motor vehicle accidents, fall downs/premises liability, dog bites, wrongful death, product liability, and personal injury litigation generally. Ms. Parra’s zealous representation of her clients has resulted in numerous significant six-figure settlements while also obtaining prestigious awards in the personal injury field, such as “Top 40 Under 40 National Trial Lawyers” (2022) and “Super Lawyers Rising Stars” (2023).

As a bilingual, first-generation professional and the youngest of immigrant parents, Ms. Parra’s passion has always been to fight for those who have suffered and need help the most. As a longtime Bergen County resident, raised by Colombian and Ecuadorian parents with roots deeply embedded throughout Hudson County, Ms. Parra has always taken great pride in being available to serve her community members and providing the highest level of legal representation.

Ms. Parra’s prior legal experience, aside from her most recent years purely devoted to representing personal injury victims, includes criminal defense, municipal law, commercial disputes, and insurance defense, all of which give Ms. Parra valuable insight into the defense and insurance side of the personal injury field. Still, some of Ms. Parra’s most rewarding legal experiences involved working with underprivileged individuals in desperate need of legal assistance. Ms. Parra worked with NYLS’ Post-Conviction Innocence Clinic, where she and her team represented minorities and low- income individuals who the criminal justice system wrongly incarcerated for serious crimes in New York State, despite colorable claims and proofs of actual innocence. Ms. Parra and her team engaged in factual investigations, conducted prison interviews, conferred with outside counsel, located witnesses, and updated evidentiary research. Her efforts led to the exoneration of a client who had wrongfully served 32 years in prison. Ms. Parra also worked with the Street Law Clinic where she provided high school students from underserved communities, like the Bronx, NY, with high-quality educational courses focused on creating a pathway to careers in the legal profession. Ms. Parra hopes to pave the way, inspire, and make a difference to the next generation of young, tenacious, first generation professionals yet to be showcased.
