Barry W. Beroset, the founder and senior partner of Beroset & Keene, has over 40 years of criminal defense experience in state and federal courts throughout Florida and the United States. In 1987, Mr. Beroset became a Board Certified Criminal Trial Lawyer by the Florida Bar Board Legal Specialization and Education, which was the first year criminal board certification was established. Mr. Beroset has tried hundreds of criminal jury trials in state and federal courts in the areas of white collar crime, fraud (mail, wire, bank, tax, securities, mortgage, and health care), racketeering, murder and homicide, money laundering, internet sex crimes, tax crimes, narcotics violations, probation violations, misdemeanors, and juvenile court delinquency proceedings.
Mr. Beroset has set the standard for thorough, zealous representation of clients for over 40 years. He has been selected by his peers for inclusion in the “Best Trial Lawyers in America,” The Top 100 Trial Lawyers in Florida, and has been recognized by “Super Lawyers.” Mr. Beroset is a fellow in the prestigious American Board of Criminal Lawyers, an invitation only national legal honorary society consisting of the most prominent criminal trial lawyers in America. Mr. Beroset is also a past president of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and a Life Member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Mr. Beroset has served as a legal analyst and commentator for print and broadcast media regarding noteworthy criminal cases, and has appeared as a guest commentator on numerous national network and cable news programs. Mr. Beroset also co-hosts “Justice for All,” a regional television program focusing exclusively on issues of criminal law. Mr. Beroset has also served as a presenter at many continuing legal education seminars in the area of criminal law.
Mr. Beroset received his law degree from the University of Cincinnati (1971), and also recieved his B.A. in Economics from University of Cincinnati (1965). He is his is admitted before the Bars of Ohio, Florida, and the District of Columbia. Mr. Beroset is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th and 11th Circuits, and is a member of the U.S. District Court for the Northern and Middle Districts of Florida, the District of Columbia, and the Southern District of Alabama.
