He establishes clear boundaries in the attorney-client relationship with the first contact and upholds them throughout the entirety of the relationship. He models the respect and behavior he expects from his clients. He makes the calls and has the conversations to get the best outcome for each client. His natural habitat is outdoors in his boots and jeans, preferably on a horse or at the beach in his flipflops, preferably in the ocean, and he exudes that sense of ease and tolerance with his clients while approaching the courtroom and its processes with formality and temperance.
