
Brandon Rover, a Jacksonville native, completed his education at the University of North Florida and Florida Coastal School of Law. In 2012, he served as an Assistant State Attorney in the 4th Judicial Circuit before transitioning to the Public Defender’s Office. As a Public Defender, he successfully represented clients in cases involving probation violations, municipal ordinance infractions, misdemeanors, and felonies. Mr. Rover was later promoted to the Office of Special Defense, where he handled complex cases for clients facing life sentences without parole, including attempted homicide, sexual offenses, and crimes against minors.
With his experience as Felony Division Chief for the Public Defender’s Office, Mr. Rover has participated in over 50 jury trials, securing not-guilty verdicts for clients facing life sentences for serious charges like murder, attempted murder, sexual assault, burglary with battery, narcotics trafficking, and domestic battery misdemeanors. His victories also include successful suppression hearings that led to charge reductions or dismissals and motions resulting in complete case dismissals. With over a decade of experience as both a prosecutor and defense attorney, Mr. Rover brings formidable expertise and dedication to defending clients in criminal cases.
