Brian is a seasoned litigator and trial attorney named as a 2023 Super Lawyers “Rising Star.” A former Army officer with an engineering background, Brian brings a unique combination of legal, operational, and technical knowledge to solve complex challenges facing his clients.
Before founding Duddy & Czarnecki, Brian worked at Keller Postman where he represented plaintiffs in a variety of matters, including servicemembers harmed by 3M’s combat arms earplugs and veterans and their family members injured by toxic water at Camp Lejeune. Brian also established and led the firm’s data analytics and insights team, which leveraged technology and data science to help serve thousands of clients.
Before joining Keller Postman, Brian served as an Assistant United States Attorney in Pittsburgh. He led investigations into various federal crimes, including those related to national security and cybercrime. As a federal prosecutor, Brian regularly appeared in court and successfully tried five cases to verdict. Before serving as an AUSA, Brian was a defense attorney at Wilkinson Stekloff where he was a member of teams that won a multi-state consumer fraud class action trial and two products liability bellwether trials. Before that, Brian clerked for Judge Thomas Hardiman on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
Brian earned his law degree from Yale Law School, and he is a distinguished honor graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point. He deployed twice to Afghanistan and was awarded a Bronze Star.
Brian is licensed to practice law in the District of Columbia.
