Cesar Tavares has been with Williams Hart & Boundas, LLP since 2017. He focuses his practice on personal injury, product liability, and maritime law. He has been practicing law since 2009 and has had great success throughout his career, both before and after joining Williams Hart & Boundas, LLP.
Alongside his legal experience and commitment to his clients, he has gained numerous multi-million-dollar verdicts and settlements. Whether it is for an individual seeking compensation after having been seriously injured by a defective propane tank, a worker injured at their job at a Union Pacific train yard, or a family who lost a loved one in a construction crane accident, Cesar Tavares diligently works to give his clients the best possible results.
Cesar’s willingness to go the distance for his clients comes as no surprise to the people who know him. He has been a hard worker his entire life. He was born in Mexico City, and immigrated to the US when he was very young. He went on to be the first person in his family to graduate from college, attaining his associate’s degree from Utah Valley University in 2003. He then graduated cum laude from Brigham Young University only two years later in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy. He achieved all this while caring for his family and working full-time. He was accepted to Harvard Law School and received his law degree in 2009, once again graduating cum laude.
Cesar is licensed to practice in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Pennsylvania, as well as in the United States District Courts for the Western District of Texas, Southern District of Texas, Eastern District of Texas, Northern District of Texas, Northern District of Oklahoma, Eastern District of Oklahoma, Western District of Oklahoma, Eastern District of Louisiana, and Western District of Louisiana. He is also admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
In 2022, he obtained two of the top ten verdicts in Texas. For years, he has been listed by The National Trial Lawyers in its Top 100 Lawyers list. Shortly after switching his law practice to represent injured people, he was selected by his peers for inclusion in the Texas Super Lawyers Rising Stars list. He is currently included in the Texas Super Lawyers list. He has been invited to speak at a number of events on subjects regarding the Jones Act, negotiation techniques, case themes, trucking litigation, voir dire, and trial strategy.
