W. Charles Meltmar was born in Rockford, Illinois on March 5, 1963. He received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from The George Washington University and his Juris Doctor from The District of Columbia School of Law.
Since he graduated from law school, he has represented plaintiffs in a wide range of civil suits ranging from police misconduct to medical malpractice. During this time he has tried approximately 150 cases before judges and juries. He now limits his practice to cases in the area of nursing home abuse and neglect, medical malpractice and catastrophic personal injury.
Mr. Meltmar is licensed to practice law in the State of Maryland, the District of Columbia, and the Commonwealth of Virginia. He is also admitted before the United States District Court for the District of Maryland and the District of Columbia, and the United States Supreme Court.
During the course of Mr. Meltmar's career, he has maintained memberships in the American Trial Lawyers Association, the District of Columbia Trial Lawyers Association, the Maryland Trial Lawyers Association, and the American Bar Association.
