Christopher Ligori has been practicing law since 1994 and is one of the few attorneys in Florida to have tried over 100 jury trials to verdict. He prides himself on aggressively litigating and pursuing his clients' claims, as well as treating all clients and their cases, regardless of the size of the case, with the same respect and diligence.
Mr. Ligori has routinely been asked and has given lectures to other lawyers across the State of Florida and in other states about a variety of legal issues. He considers it one of the highest honors an attorney can receive to be asked by his peers to speak before their colleagues and help educate them about legal issues and strategy.
In March 2012, Mr. Ligori spoke at the Work Horse Seminar, which deals with all areas of personal injury practice. The seminar is attended by hundreds of lawyers throughout the state and the speakers are some of the most respected and widely recognized experts in their field. Mr. Ligori was asked to speak regarding the complex issue of exculpatory causes, Florida's child waiver statute and assumption of the risk defenses. He has extensive experience with these areas due to his practice in the numerous death cases and other serious injury cases he has handled and litigated.
Mr. Ligori has been AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell, which is the highest rating an attorney can receive. In order to obtain this rating, Martindale-Hubbell conducts an extensive investigation of an attorney's peers regarding their legal knowledge, integrity, skill and professionalism. Mr. Ligori received the highest marks in response to Martindale-Hubbell's inquiry of his peers and he considers it an honor to be AV rated.
Christopher Ligori was also selected by his peers as a member of the 2014 Florida Trend Legal Elite in the practice area of Civil Trial Law. Of over 98,000 lawyers licensed to practice in the State of Florida, less than 2% are selected for this honor.
Mr. Ligori has been fighting for the rights of victims his entire legal career and handled thousands of cases. Many of the cases have involved catastrophic injuries, wrongful death, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injuries, broken bones, herniated discs, RSD, injuries to the knee, shoulder or wrist, and other injuries.
Mr. Ligori also has achieved numerous verdicts, judgments and settlements well above the defendant's policy limits. In one case he handled, the insurance company paid $5 million to his client when the defendant's policy limits was only $10,000.
