Born in Tampico, Tamaulipas, Mexico, Mrs. Garcia-Chappell has been a part of the Pastrana & García Law Firm family since 2009, helping injured people get the compensation they deserve. She received her Master of Laws (LLM) from the University of Texas at Austin School of Law in 2019. While attending the University of Texas, Mrs. García-Chappell kept true to her roots by helping others through volunteering pro-bono at the Family Detention Center in Karnes, Texas, while finishing up her law degree. In July 2019, she successfully passed the Texas Bar Exam and was named partner at Pastrana Law Firm. In 2021, the firm was renamed to Pastrana & Garcia Injury Law to reflect this new partnership.
Before coming to Texas, Mrs. Garcia-Chappell attended the Instituto de Estudios Superiores de Tamaulipas School of Law and graduated in 2005. Shortly after, she was recruited by the Secretary of Foreign Relations in Mexico and assigned to Mexico’s Consulate office in Austin, Texas, from 2006 to 2007. In 2007, she eagerly accepted a diplomatic assignment as the Chief of Staff for the Ambassador of Mexico in China. She was also a Press Attaché during the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. In 2009, she returned to Texas from Asia and joined the Pastrana & Garcia Law Firm.
Mrs. Garcia-Chappell thrives on helping others navigate through our legal system and genuinely cares about the well-being of everyone she represents. She resides in Travis County, where she enjoys the Central Texas weather and spending time with her husband, Chris Chappell, and two children, Lucia and Joaquin, along with the family dogs Pulga and Luna.
