A 2002 UNM School of Law graduate, Dathan found his calling in civil litigation a few years after graduating from Trinity University. A third-generation attorney, Dathan was born and raised in Farmington, NM. Dathan’s friends would say his compassion and generosity for everyone he meets drives his commitment to the tireless pursuit of justice on behalf of his clients. When he is not championing his clients in the courtroom or teaching at UNM School of Law as an adjunct professor, Dathan dedicates his time to uplifting our shared community through volunteerism. Dathan is the Board Chair for Paws N Stripes, an organization that provides service dogs to veterans in need, serves on the Mayor's Volunteer Advisory Board, and is President of Albuquerque Involved, a nonprofit organization that Dathan founded with the goal of connecting individuals, through service work and grants, with nonprofits in their community. Dathan also holds diplomas from the National Institute for Trial Advocacy in Trial Practice and Deposition Advocacy Skills, and is a member of the ADR, Family, Small and Solo, and Trial Practice sections of the New Mexico State Bar.
