Edward Festeryga is a trial lawyer devoted to taking his client’s fight to the courtroom. Since graduating from the University of Texas School of Law, he has taken on some of the biggest companies in the world and become a leader in plaintiff’s personal injury litigation. He is a trial lawyer who has achieved real success in the courtroom, including a Top 50 Jury Verdict in Texas in 2019. Edward’s track record of success has garnered him acclaim in the legal community: he is a Texas Super Lawyer Rising Star and has been named as a Top 40 Under 40 Lawyer by the National Trial Lawyers.
Edward was raised in a rural farming community. Working on the farm he learned the meaning of hard work and family values. The grandson of European immigrants, his parents and grandparents taught him that the most important things in life are, to be honest, and hard-working; to stand up to bullies; be good to others, and to love deeply.
Those values guided him not just in life and in the classroom, but on the field too. Hard work made him a prodigious youth hockey player and student, and Edward earned acceptance to an elite northeastern boarding school to play hockey at only 13. Edward later walked onto his college football team, where he was a Dean’s List member, earned All-Academic Honors, and won the national championship in football in 2009.
Following a standout athletic career, Edward scored in the 98th percentile on the law school admissions test (LSAT), and attended the University of Texas School of Law on scholarship, as a Keeton Scholar.
After attending law school in Texas, he couldn’t bring himself to live and work anywhere else. Like Sam Houston and Davy Crocket, Edward wasn’t born in Texas but got here as fast as he could. He has called Houston home since.
Edward’s commitment to hard work and success is evident in the courtroom. He is a champion for injured individuals and their families and relentlessly stands up to bullies. His aggressive, straightforward approach to litigation is emblematic of his client-focused practice.
