Michael grew up in Des Moines, Iowa and graduated from Drake University in 2013, where he studied English, Political Science, and Philosophy. Michael then attended Drake University Law School. He was a member of the Drake Journal of Agricultural Law, serving as editorial staff after publication of his journal article in the fall of 2016. Michael graduated from Drake University Law School in 2017.
After graduating from law school, Michael clerked for a multi-state injury litigation firm in West Des Moines, Iowa. He then went on to develop a client-centered practice in Newton, Iowa before joining Sullivan & Ward, P.C. as an associate attorney in 2021.
Michael is a trial lawyer representing clients in personal injury and workers’ compensation, divorce and custody, criminal defense, and commercial litigation cases.
Outside of his law practice, when he is not spending time with his wife and two dogs, Michael enjoys weight lifting and playing baseball. He has played amateur baseball in the Mid-Iowa Baseball League for over ten years.
Michael is member of the Iowa Association for Justice, the Iowa State Bar Association, and the Polk County Bar Association.
