David earned his Bachelor of Science degree cum laude from Mercer University in 1994, then went on to receive his Juris Doctor from Mercer University's Walter F. George School of Law in Macon, Georgia, in 1998. He was admitted to the Georgia Bar that same year and has practiced law in the state ever since.
