Jacob Karam is a fierce trial lawyer dedicated to achieving the best results possible for his clients. Jacob opened The Karam Law Office, PLLC with one goal: to help those that have been injured due to the wrongful actions of others. For Jacob, being an attorney means being an advocate for those most in need.
Jacob found an outlet for his extremely competitive nature on the football field. He was a three-time all-state quarterback and played for two college teams: Texas Tech and the University of Memphis. He broke numerous records on both teams, but he is most proud of being elected team captain for both squads. Meanwhile, he earned national recognition from multiple philanthropic organizations, for the work he did in the community, most notably for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital as a volunteer piano player.
BIOGRAPHY
After a brief stint with the Green Bay Packers, Jacob pursued his legal education at the University of Houston Law Center. Jacob found success applying the virtues he learned on the gridiron: hard work, preparation, and passion for the craft.
Jacob had the honor of clerking for the Honorable Judge Caroline Baker in the 295th Judicial Civil District Court in Harris County, Texas, gaining vital courtroom experience early in his legal career. Jacob also clerked for some of the most prestigious law firms in the country, including Locke Lord, LLP, Andrews Kurth, LLP, and The Lanier Law Firm. Jacob also served as senior articles editor for the Houston Journal of Health Law & Policy. Jacob graduated with cum laude honors from the University of Houston. His proudest moment was being selected by his classmates to deliver the commencement speech at graduation.
Jacob began his legal career at Locke Lord, LLP as one of only two newly-minted attorneys in the United States hired to join the prestigious litigation department. While at Locke Lord, an international law firm with hundreds of attorneys and offices world-wide, Jacob practiced commercial litigation, international arbitration, and white-collar criminal defense.
Jacob knew he wanted to pursue a life of advocacy for injured plaintiffs. Fortunately, Jacob was hired by Arnold & Itkin, LLP, the nation’s most prestigious personal injury law firm. Jacob worked hard to develop his skills as a courtroom warrior, fighting for hundreds of clients nationwide. During his time at Arnold & Itkin, Jacob secured dozens of positive results for his clients, including verdicts and settlements in the six- and seven-figure range spanning across a myriad of practice areas. Jacob was able to achieve these results in a plethora of state and federal courts across the country.
As a result of the impressive results Jacob has been able to achieve for his clients, Jacob has been selected by various prestigious organizations, such as the National Institute of Trial Lawyers and the American Academy of Attorneys Top 40 under 40.
Recently, Jacob opened The Karam Law Office, PLLC in February 2020. Jacob draws upon his extensive experience and training to deliver elite results for the clients that rely upon his expertise. Jacob is licensed in both Texas and Louisiana.
Jacob is married to his wife, Donna, and the couple has two children, James and Layla. Jacob is an active member of Our Lady of the Cedars Maronite Catholic Church in Houston and is involved in various other organizations.
