cience from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. In 2018 she earned her Juris Doctorate Degree from North Carolina Central University School of Law. Her Legal Career began as an Assistant District Attorney in Guilford County. She served in that position for four years. During her time as an Assistant District Attorney, she prosecuted Defendants charged with serious misdemeanors including assault, property, DWI offenses, and served as a Juvenile Court Prosecutor. Jakeana has a strong passion for litigation, substantial trial experience and is equipped with knowledge of criminal procedure, especially as it relates to how cases are prosecuted in the Criminal Justice system. She has proudly served as a defense attorney in the triad for the last two years.
Jakeana a member of the North Carolina State Bar and the Forsyth County Bar Association. In 2019, she was awarded by Black Business Inc, as one of the 40 Under 40 Most Influential African Americans in the Triad and was recently named was named one of the Top 40 Under 40 Trial Lawyers by the National
Trial Lawyers Organization. Her passion is serving the community.
