Attorney James Fields-Bowers was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Growing up, he had a passion for helping his community and individuals in critical times of need. As a result, Attorney Bowers attended Marquette University in Milwaukee where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Criminology and Law Studies. Attorney Bowers had the fortunate opportunity to continue pursuing his passion by attending Marquette Law School on a Thomas More Scholarship. While attending law school, he focused primarily on litigation and volunteering with Marquette’s Pro Bono Society.
After receiving his law degree, Attorney Bowers worked for several years as an Attorney at the State of Wisconsin Public Defenders Office. In this role, Attorney Bowers developed a sound knowledge of the law and handled a high volume of court cases from pretrial to disposition. He prepared many cases for trial, and advocated successfully for clients in numerous jury trials, receiving several favorable verdicts on behalf of his clients.
Attorney Bowers then transitioned his career and legal experiences and joined Gruber Law Offices as a Personal Injury Attorney. Attorney Bowers believes that passion and making a difference is a vital part to client representation. He aggressively advocates for clients’ rights and is devoted to helping clients achieve the best possible outcome in their cases by providing meticulous and compassionate legal representation.
Outside of litigation, Attorney Bowers also has a passion for ministry. For the past 10 years, he’s served as a teacher at Vessels of Honour Church in Mequon, WI where he’s been an active member for over 20 years.
In his free time, Attorney Bowers is an avid fan of the Milwaukee Bucks, Brewers and the Green Bay Packers and enjoys spending time with his family.
