Jay Corker Free
Bloom Law, PLLC
Seattle,
 WA

Jay Corker Free is committed to fighting for workplace equality and fairness. He understands people often define themselves by their careers and that having that stolen from them by an employer’s misconduct is traumatizing. That is why he zealously advocates for those wrongfully terminated due to workplace discrimination or retaliation.

One reason why Jay is effective is because he knows how the opposition thinks. Prior to joining Bloom Law, Jay worked at a prestigious firm that defended employers. He now uses this background to anticipate his adversary’s position.

Jay also meticulously investigates his cases because he knows lawsuits are won on the facts. Before law school, he investigated criminal cases for three years at the King County Public Defender’s Office. In his prior work at other law firms, Jay conducted internal employment investigations for his corporate clients. He uses his investigatory background to gain extensive knowledge of the case history to build compelling stories and legal arguments that strengthen an employee’s case and prepare it for trial.

Jay graduated second in his class at the University of Washington School of Law with high honors. Super Lawyers Thomson Reuters has recognized Jay as a “Rising Star” in Washington State in 2019-2023. Jay also works as pro bono legal counsel for Elizabeth Gregory Home, a center for women experiencing homelessness.

Outside of work, Jay enjoys biking, yoga, and cheering on all the major Seattle sports teams.
