James Clay "Jim" Gossett was born and raised in Henderson, Texas. He graduated from Lyon College in Batesville, Arkansas in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. While in undergrad at Lyon, Jim was a four-year letterman on the baseball team, led his team in batting average and RBI as a sophomore, and was an all-conference selection his senior year. He also made the Athletic Director's Honor Roll all four years. He then studied law at the University of Arkansas- Little Rock where he was an associate editor of the UALR Law Review.
Jim joined The Monsour Law Firm in 2018 after having spent nearly two years at a Law Firm in Tyler. He focuses his practice on 18-wheeler cases, car accidents, oilfield injuries and railroad crossing cases. Since joining the Monsour Law Firm, Jim has helped recover millions of dollars for clients. As a result, Jim is a lifetime member of the Million Dollar Advocates' Forum - an organization for those who have secured verdicts or settlements of over $1 million for an individual client.
An avid sports fan, Jim spends his spare time playing golf as well as watching his favorite sports teams the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys.
