Introduction:
Mr. John Aubry Davis is managing partner of J.A. Davis & Associates LLP. He is an experienced Law Firm Managing Partner with a demonstrated successful tenure running a successful law practice that, to date over a twenty-five year period has represented over 12,000 clients and recovered more than 100 million dollars in compensation for his clients. Mr. Davis has tried a voluminous amount of cases to the bench and civil cases to verdict including a verdict of 700 million dollars in Bexar County, Texas. Mr. Davis is skilled in areas of Mediation/Negotiations pertaining to Personal Injury/tort claims, Workers' Compensation issues, subrogation, Litigation Management, and Trial Practice.
Education:
Mr. Davis first attended the U.S. Army Intelligence School. where he graduated 1st in his class as the honor graduate. After his completion of service with an honorable discharge, he graduated from the University of Arizona , receiving his BS degree in Economics/Regional development. Mr. Davis attended law school at St. Mary's University, where he actively participated in trial advocacy competitions and was selected as a member of the university's Jessup Moot Court Team.
A Background of Public Service:
Strong history of active participation and service with the Texas State Bar and State and local plaintiff advocacy associations. Currently (2023) serving as a Chair of a State Bar of Texas Grievance Panel. Speaker/Lecturer at multiple State Bar of Texas Advanced areas of practice. Frequently testified for or on advocacy issues on behalf of self, national and state advocacy groups/ organizations regarding pending legislative or rule making matters. Member Board of Directors and/or Officer of the San Antonio Trial Lawyers Association (SATLA) from 2007 to date. Mr. Davis is a former Executive Counsel Member of the State Bar of Texas Workers’ Compensation Section, the American Bar Association, and the San Antonio Bar Association. Mr. Davis has been recognized and awarded by numerous Advocacy organizations based upon peer review.
Practicing Law Since 1998
Mr. Davis graduated with his Juris Doctor in 1997. He went on to pass the Arizona Bar Exam in July 1997 and the Texas Bar Exam in February 1998.
