John S. Hillock was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. Growing up in the South Side, John learned the value of hard work from a young age.
John received his Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Sports Science from the University of Dayton, in Dayton, Ohio, where John was heavily involved in the Pre-Law Society while working with intercollegiate athletics. From there, John attended the John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois where he received his Juris Doctor in 2017. While focusing his studies in Civil Litigation, John excelled in his Advanced Torts and Trial Advocacy classes. John also clerked with the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office throughout law school in the Criminal Appeals and Traffic Divisions. John gained significant courtroom experience prosecuting DUI’s and authoring several Appellate briefs. John also had significant clerking experience at a personal injury firm in the Chicagoland area, where he worked on a wide variety of complex civil litigation issues.
John joined Angelini, Ori & Abate in 2018. Since being admitted to the Bar, John has worked tirelessly to represent individuals and families in their workers’ compensation, personal injury, medical malpractice and wrongful death cases. John has obtained millions of dollars in settlements for his clients.
John is also a member of the executive board for the American Association for Justice's Workers' Compensation Committee.
John is a member of several professional associations including the Chicago Bar Association, Illinois Bar Association, American Bar Association, American Association for Justice, National Trial Lawyers Association, Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, Workers’ Compensation Lawyers Association, St. Ignatius Law Society and the Justinian Society of Lawyers. In his free time, John remains very involved in the Bridgeport community, enjoys working out, attending sporting events and spending time with his family and friends.
