I was born and raised on California’s Central Coast, and today, I’m grateful to call it home with my family. My path to becoming a personal injury attorney wasn’t direct. In high school, I worked at a law firm and thought law wasn’t for me. I planned to become a doctor—until college changed everything.
While studying neurobiology at UC Davis, I lost my student housing and took a summer job with a trial lawyer. What started as a temporary gig became a calling. I realized I could help people in a powerful way through law. I pivoted, met my wife, and spent law school dreaming with my roommate Clay about trying cases and fighting for people.
After law school, I worked at a top employment defense firm but hated defending corporations. I wanted to stand up for those they hurt—the underdogs. So, I took a leap, started my own firm in San Diego, and built a national reputation for taking on big defense firms—and winning. SuperLawyers, The National Trial Lawyers Top 100, and Avvo took notice, but what mattered most was getting justice for my clients.
After our daughter was born, the pandemic reminded us of the importance of home. We returned to the Central Coast, where I continue to fight for injured pedestrians, bicyclists, motorcyclists, and workers. My passion has always been standing up for the vulnerable against the powerful, and that’s what I do every day.
If you’ve been injured or lost a loved one, I’m here to fight for the justice you deserve.
