John McKay is a seasoned litigator who has no qualms about taking on goliath-sized defendants. In recent years he has single-handedly won jury verdicts in the millions for clients against such defendants as American Airlines, Inc. and Delta Air Lines, Inc. He loves a good jury trial. His practice primarily concentrates on aviation-related wrongful death and personal injury litigation for plaintiffs, although he also has many years of experience with automobile negligence and medical malpractice cases. Park Avenue Law’s principal office is in San Francisco, with satellite offices in Winter Park, Florida and Toronto, Ontario. John is licensed to practice in eight U.S. states, plus England and Ontario. He holds a Commercial Pilot certificate with instrument and multiengine ratings and has logged numerous hours at the controls of a variety of sophisticated aircraft.

John has a B.A. with Distinction from the University of Virginia and a J.D. from the University of Maine School of Law, where he was a member of the school’s Moot Court team and received its Best Advocate Award at graduation. He has served on state and local ethics and professionalism committees for attorneys and was one of the co-founders of the Thomas Jefferson Inn of Court, dedicated to fostering jury trial skills and professionalism in young attorneys who are getting started in practice.
