JOHN MCLAUGHLIN graduated magna cum laude from Indiana University School of Law at Indianapolis before joining Parr Richey Frandsen Patterson Kruse LLP as an attorney. He has focused his practice on representing personal injury victims since joining the firm. John primarily has experience handling automobile and trucking accident cases involving serious injuries, and he also handles all other areas of the firm’s injury practice including medical malpractice.
John has enjoyed working with his clients in reaching numerous settlements and jury trial verdicts since his first year of practice, including working to obtain compensation on behalf of victims injured in the Indiana State Fair Sugarland stage collapse incident that occurred in 2011. In recognition of his achievements and hard work, John was recognized in the Indiana Super Lawyers Magazine from 2013 through 2022 as a Rising Star. This designation is limited to 2.5% of Indiana attorneys 40 years old or younger or in practice for 10 years or less. In 2014 through 2022, John was invited and selected to become a member of The National Trial Lawyers: Top 100 Trial Lawyers for the State of Indiana. In 2016 through 2022, John was invited and selected to become a member of The National Trial Lawyers: Top 40 Under 40.
John has repeatedly been invited to present and speak to other attorneys through the National Business Institute CLE seminars and also at the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association (“ITLA”) Annual Institute about his personal injury practice. His publications on personal injury related topics have been included in ITLA’s The Verdict and his firm’s own publication, Indiana Co-Counsel, which has a distribution list of thousands including attorneys throughout the State of Indiana.
John is admitted to practice law in the State of Indiana and the Federal District Court for both the Southern District of Indiana and the Northern District of Indiana.
John grew up on a grain and livestock family farm in LeRoy, Illinois. He resides in Zionsville with his wife (Sandy), daughter (Evelyn) and son (James).
