Joseph Bauer was raised in New Lenox, Illinois for most of his life before moving to Big Rapids, Michigan, where he attended Ferris State University. While in college, Joseph became a brother of Phi Sigma Kappa and was actively involved in student government and Phi Alpha Delta. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with Legal Studies and a Minor in Leadership and Operations Management, Joseph moved to Valparaiso, Indiana to attend law school. While in law school, Joseph was an active member of the Trial Advocacy Team, competing in Valparaiso, Indianapolis, Houston and Puerto Rico.
After graduating from Valparaiso School of Law in 2019, Joseph married his wife Madison Sweany (Bauer.) Together they have three sons, Waylon “Doober”, Brooks “Choopy”, and Ren "Renny" and two Golden Retrievers named Rudy Stu and Hoosier.
Upon passing the Bar Exam, Joseph accepted a position at the Tippecanoe County Prosecutor’s Office where he stayed for six months. His case load consisted of; resisting law enforcement, battery, theft, false informing, auto theft, counterfeiting, fraud and other lower level felony and misdemeanor cases.
On March 13, 2020, Joseph accepted a position with Namie Bauer & Associates where he practiced mainly criminal defense law until opening his own practice in 2023 under the name Outlaw Services. Joseph is looking forward to being able to better represent and focus on the community around Rochester, IN.
