After graduating from Brooklyn Law School, Julie began her legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in Kings County, Brooklyn, where she rose to the position of Deputy Bureau Chief of the Homicide Bureau. She handled thousands of criminal cases, from misdemeanors to violent felony offenses, and earned a reputation as a tough and talented trial attorney. While working as a prosecutor, Julie also taught Criminal Procedure as an Adjunct Law professor at Brooklyn Law School. In 2012, Julie was honored with the Kings County District Attorney's Office Alumnae Association's Distinguished Service Award. After leaving the Kings County District Attorney's Office, Julie opened the Law Offices of Julie Rendelman, LLC, where she provides aggressive and personalized representation to individuals charged with crimes, including white collar crimes, violent crimes and non-violent crimes. Julie's experience as a prosecutor has given her a unique first-hand knowledge of how prosecutors develop evidence and investigate cases, which is key to mounting a strong defense. Julie is a seasoned attorney who has appeared in newspapers (New York Post, Daily News, NY Times, Vanity Fair and the Wall Street Journal), various radio shows, and network TV (NY 1, Channel 11 WPIX, Fox 5 NY and CBS News). She is a member of the New York City Bar Association and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, an organization dedicated to ensuring justice and due process for persons accused of crimes and other misconduct.
