Jill has successfully argued criminal and civil appeals to the State of Idaho Supreme Court and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and therefore has the background and training necessary to handle your appeal.

With experience as both a State Prosecuting Attorney and a federal Assistant United States Attorney, Jill has handled hundreds of state and federal criminal cases and tried several dozen to successful jury verdict. Jill continues her tradition of excellence on behalf of state and federal clients facing the most serious criminal charges, ensuring their liberty interests and Constitutional rights are protected.
Jill has handled nearly every type of state and federal criminal case. Her experience resulted in the recent dismissal of Second-Degree Murder charges in State v. Jill is passionate about assisting individuals who have faced discrimination in their employment and regularly assists clients with actions before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the State of Idaho Human Rights Commission (IHRC) and subsequent state and federal lawsuits to pursue their employment discrimination claims under the Americans with Disability Act (ADA), Title VI discrimination based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation and other protected classes; and on public policy grounds. Jill is also experienced in helping Whistleblowers recover compensation for their efforts in exposing Government waste, fraud and abuse via Qui Tam lawsuits. If you have a matter requiring civil litigation experience, you’ll want Jill’s experience.
Since the beginning of her career in the state juvenile justice and child protection arenas, fighting for children and families has been important to Jill. She has enjoyed great success in handling private clients’ family law and guardianship matters since entering private practice in 2015. Her extensive courtroom and litigation experience has helped clients receive their best outcomes for their children and families. Jill serves the legal community through several service and leadership functions. She is the current Chair of the Idaho State Bar Labor & Employment Law Committee, a Member of the Federal Defenders Services of Idaho Board of Directors, regularly serves as faculty and instructor for the National Association for Public Defense (NAPD), Public Defense College and has presented at conferences of the Idaho Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys (IACDL).
