Kelly comes from a hardworking blue-collar family who instilled in her the value of a good work ethic. She was the first person in her family to earn a professional degree and one of the first to earn a college degree. Kelly’s background gives her a well-rounded understanding of the challenges facing hardworking people who are injured by others’ carelessness.
Kelly received her Bachelor of Arts in political science from West Virginia University in 1991. She graduated summa cum laude and was a member of America’s most prestigious honor society, Phi Beta Kappa. In 1994, Kelly graduated from the West Virginia University College of Law, where she served as Editor of Articles for the West Virginia Law Review and was published in the 1994 Coal Edition.
Kelly has dedicated her legal career to helping others in her community and throughout the state she calls home.
When she’s not working, Kelly enjoys traveling, seeking out new adventures, and experiencing different cultures. Closer to home, Kelly has a passion for animals and supports a variety of rescue organizations. She loves spending time with her horses, Scooter and Justice, and her five dogs.
Kelly is also a lover of the outdoors. She enjoys hiking, kayaking, and most of all sitting around a campfire with friends playing the guitar and singing.
