Kevin Schwin has been representing employees in employment law cases since 2009. He earned a B.B.S. in Human Resource Management from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio in 2005. He graduated from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law cum laude with a J.D. Concentration in Labor and Employment Law in 2008.

 

While in law school, Kevin served as President of his law school’s Employment and Labor Law Association. He also received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for Outstanding Scholarship in Torts. He wrote a law review note titled, “Toward a Plain Meaning Approach to Analyzing Title VII: Employment Discrimination Protection of Transsexuals” Published in Volume 57, No. 3 of the Cleveland State Law Review. Shortly after graduation in 2008, Kevin received the Ohio State Bar Association’s Award for Outstanding Scholarship in the Field of Labor and Employment Law.

After moving to California, Kevin was admitted to the California State Bar in 2009. He briefly worked in-house for a large corporation before successfully starting his own firm, Schwin Law, PC. Consistently recognized as an outstanding attorney, he has received numerous awards such as: selection to the Northern California Super Lawyers’ Magazine “Rising Stars” list for 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023; selection for a Lifetime Charter Membership in Rue Ratings’ Best Attorneys of America; and selection as a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America’s Trial Lawyer Honorary Society.

Kevin is a dedicated member of his community. He regularly volunteers as a food server at the Fresno Rescue Mission, providing meals to the homeless. He also regularly volunteers as a scoring attorney in the Fresno County and Madera County high school mock trial competitions. He volunteered as a Board Member of the Madera County Food Bank from 2012 through 2017. He served as the President of the Board of Directors of the Madera County Food Bank from 2013 through 2017.

Also an avid traveler, Kevin traveled to Italy as an exchange student in 2000-2001. He is fluent in Italian and proficient in French, and he is a former Volunteer Italian instructor. In his free time Kevin also enjoys hiking, skiing, golfing, walking his dogs, and spending time with his family.
