If you have been injured in an accident a great deal is at stake. You are hurt, you may or may not get better; your job is on the line if you can't work; your medical bills will climb to levels that may bankrupt you. If you are lucky enough to survive a car accident, or other injury due to another's negligence, it doesn't mean that your life will remain intact.

Larry W. Lockwood, Jr. of the Hunter law was helping injured people before he was even a lawyer. While a paralegal in a very reputable personal injury firm in Roanoke, Virginia, Larry realized his personal need to be on the pointy edge of the sword of justice. So, with his wife and new daughter in tow, he packed up for William and Mary Law School. While in law school, working part time for a law firm to make ends meet, he discovered hundreds of railroad workers exposed to toxic waste on the job who suffered brain injury. He went to his lawyer bosses and said "give me the tools and I will get these people justice" and he did. Larry spent what spare time he had while finishing law school, traveling the East Coast, meeting with injured workers, their doctors, and other leading experts in their field, and many sleepless nights in the library at Eastern Virginia Medical School. The brain injury cases were filed before Larry even had his law license, but the first one set for trial was two weeks after he did and he was lead counsel (which settled on his terms after the first day of trial.) The defendant geared up for the next, and he was lead counsel against three law firms hired by CSX only nine months after Larry graduated from law school. The result; Larry won the largest verdict in the history of the law under which the lawsuit was brought. Larry won many other verdicts, for brain, neurological and other injuries; in states along the East Coast from Ohio through Florida. He likes to say he was "like Erin Brockovich, but without the good looks and charming personality."

Larry was the youngest lawyer to be admitted to the select Million/Multimillion Dollar Advocates forum.

Larry handles big cases and small. Each client of Larry's gets personal attention directly from him, and his experienced staff. To each client he brings the same lifelong passion for justice.

Born the son of an U.S. Navy Chief, Larry spent the early years of his life on various naval bases at home and abroad. When his father retired, his family settled on a farm in Stafford County, Virginia. Larry grew up riding horses (sometimes in competitions) and helping around the farm. He attended Mary Washington College, obtaining two degrees; one in Foreign Relations, and another in Political Science. For two years Larry worked for a personal injury law firm in Roanoke, Virginia, then attended William and Mary Law School. He is the father of two wonderful children, a boy age 18, and a girl age 23. Now, he spends most of his time restoring the 1971, 35 foot Morgan Sailboat on which he lives; when he is not fishing or crabbing from his boat.
