I grew up in a small town in Michigan. After graduating high school in 1994 I served four years active duty in the Marine Corps, during which time the Marines honored me with the distinction of "Marine of the Year" at my duty station for 1995. After I was honorably discharged from the Marine Corps in 1998, I enrolled at Northern Michigan University, where I took an accelerated class load and graduated Magna Cum Laude in three years with a Major in the Health Sciences and a Minor in Philosophy.
I then attended Northeastern University School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts and earned a Juris Doctorate in May 2004. I was licensed and began practicing law in Texas in 2004 and have handled a wide range of civil litigation matters.
I am Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization—less than 7% of Texas lawyers are board certified. “TopVerdict.com” lists me for two of the top 100 civil jury verdicts and one of the top 50 personal injury jury verdicts in Texas in 2018. In 2023 I sat for the California bar exam and was licensed to practice law in California. I have since set up my primary office in Orange County, California.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, as well as copious amounts of trail running, cycling, camping and reading.
I HAVE SPOKEN TO LEGAL AUDIENCES ON LEGAL WRITING AND ON EVIDENCE AND AM A MEMBER OF THE FOLLOWING:
