Laura understands the pain and emotional stress of dealing with a serious accident. A victim of a severe personal injury incident herself while growing up in Mexico, Laura developed a yearning for justice early on in life. Since then, Laura has been inspired to fight for justice. She became devoted to the idea of ensuring victims of personal injuries, like her, would not be left without recourse while the persons at fault escaped responsibility.
It was during her initial years in college that Laura discovered the huge importance of the civil court system. She realized how valuable personal injury attorneys could be in the lives of accident victims, and since then, Laura has taken every single opportunity to learn as much as she can about this system designed to help those who need it most.
After graduating with honors from St. Mary’s University, Laura would go on to join the prestigious Baylor Law School program. Ranked No. 2 in the nation for its rigorous trial advocacy program, this experience was both challenging but utterly rewarding and allowed Laura to develop the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in a courtroom. Laura made the Dean’s List every year at Baylor.
Upon graduating, Laura was eager to polish her litigation skills. She spent time working for a boutique insurance defense firm that represented large insurance companies in South Texas. While her time there provided her with tremendous experience and a keen understanding of the insurance industry, it soon became clear that her heart was with the victims. She could not escape her desire to help the underserved and families who were regularly taken advantage of by big companies. Resolving to give her legal care and guidance to those who needed it most, Laura soon moved to Austin and became a plaintiff’s lawyer.
