Lisa is a seasoned litigator with over 15 years of experience advocating for clients in courts across Virginia. Prior to joining Jennifer Porter Law, she spent nine years as a defense attorney at a major insurance company, where she litigated thousands of cases to completion. She then moved to a plaintiff's firm for the next 6 years.
Lisa leverages her “insider” knowledge of how the insurance industry operates to benefit her clients. Lisa has a knack for connecting with her clients and their families on a personal level. Her client-first mentality plays a big factor in her ability to help her clients achieve the best possible results.
Lisa, a Pittsburgh native, attended Penn State University and to this day, never misses a Nittany Lion football game! After graduating from Penn State, Lisa moved to the Washington area where she worked at a non-profit organization while her now-husband attended law school. After her husband graduated from law school, Lisa enrolled at the Catholic University of America School of Law where she was the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Contemporary Health Law and Policy.
Currently, Lisa lives in Loudoun County with her husband, two sons, and their bernedoodle, Murphy. In her free time, Lisa is passionate about food and wine, event planning, and decorating. She also loves to travel with her boys – particularly to any destination that includes a beach and fishing.
