
Upon graduation, Luis began his career as an Assistant City Attorney in Tampa. He served as a police legal adviser for the City of Tampa Police Department and went on to become the lead trial attorney for several major insurance companies. He has tried numerous cases on both state and federal levels throughout Florida. He also has several reported decisions from the Florida Appellate Courts and the Florida Supreme Court.
Since 2002, Luis has concentrated his efforts exclusively on clients who have been injured by the negligence of others.
Luis is a Florida Board Certified Specialist in Civil Trial Litigation. Civil Trial Board Certification demonstrates an attorney’s special knowledge, skills, and proficiency in civil trial litigation and their professionalism and ethics in practice. Only 7% of Florida Lawyers are Board Certified.
Luis has been featured as a lecturer in Tort Litigation and Ethics by several professional organizations and has also been published in several legal periodicals. He is a former vice president of the Puerto Rican Bar Association of Florida and a past officer of the Hispanic Bar Association of Central Florida. He has also served on the Florida Bar Continuing Education Committee. He is also a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum.
