Marc is a partner of the law firm of Trafton, Matzen, Belleau & Frenette, LLP, with offices at Auburn, Maine. The firm is dedicated to providing sophisticated expertise and individualized service that only a personalized-service oriented firm like it can provide.

He joined the firm as a partner in 2015 after previously being an owner and officer of another mid-sized firm in Auburn, where he also served as that firm's general counsel.

Marc's practice is concentrated in business and corporate law, real estate law, banking and finance law, insurance law and civil litigation. Marc's expertise is in representing and advising businesses and individuals in business and civil litigation matters, including personal injury and insurance. Marc's approach to a matter is to be both idealistic and pragmatic, determining the client's objectives promptly, and, as matters develop, to provide high quality information and advice that allows the client to make informed decisions regarding the progress of their matters.

Marc has been selected to the New England Rising Stars list, featuring young lawyers in Maine, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont, since 2010.

Marc graduated summa cum laude from the University of Maine School of Law, Portland, Maine. During law school Marc received the Significant Achievement Award, was the Research Editor for the Maine Law Review, and was a Student Legal Writing Instructor. Marc graduated magna cum laude from Duke University in 1998.

Marc was admitted to the Maine bar in 2001, has been in private practice since 2002, and prior to that he served as a Law Clerk to Justice Robert Clifford, of the Maine Supreme Judicial Court.

He is admitted to practice before all of Maine's state and federal courts as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit and the U.S. Tax Court. Marc belongs to the Maine State Bar Association, the Androscoggin County Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the American Association for Justice.

Marc is active in his community sitting on the board of directors of a number of for-profit and non-profit companies, and he coaches youth hockey.
