Marc J. Hoerner Jr. is a nationally recognized attorney who founded Defense on Demand in order to provide experienced and personalized representation. The firm exclusively focuses on pursuing justice for each client. Whether that be in criminal or civil court.
Marc was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. He graduated from Holy Cross High School in the lower 9th Ward in 2006, and completed his undergraduate degree in 2010, at Loyola University New Orleans, with a major in criminal justice. He then received his law degree at Loyola University College of Law.
Marc worked as a law clerk for Judge Laurie White in Orleans Criminal District Court, providing legal assistance to the Judge during motions, hearings, and trials. He researched legal issues before the court, drafted briefs, memoranda, and rulings for post-conviction relief.
Marc went on to serve as a New Orleans Assistant District Attorney. He was the senior trial attorney of various court sections, overseeing and trying felony matters exclusively. As a prosecutor, Marc has tried countless judge and jury trials. This experience has allowed him to witness first-hand the injustices and atrocities, within our legal system, that plagues our community on a daily basis. It was these experiences that encouraged Marc Hoerner Jr. to start a law firm that offers competent, skilled, and accomplished attorneys who are ready and eager to fight and serve at a moment’s demand.
In 2021, Marc was selected for inclusion into its Top 40 Under 40 Criminal Defense Trial Lawyers in Louisiana, an honor given to only a select group of lawyers for their superior skills and qualifications in the field. Membership in this exclusive organization is by invitation only and is limited to the top 40 attorneys in each state or region who have demonstrated excellence and have achieved outstanding results in their careers in either civil plaintiff or criminal defense law.
Marc's firm has handled various civil and criminal matters in both federal and state court. He is a member of the Louisiana Bar Association and is also admitted to the Southern and Western District of Texas, as well as the Federal Bar Association for the Eastern District court of Louisiana.
