Mario Yague was born in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua and grew up in El Paso, Texas. Experiencing a life in the border plex region of El Paso, Texas bestowed Mario with a passion to help those in his community have a voice when they are in need. Mario continues to pursue this passion as an attorney by advocating for people who have experienced serious injuries obtain a fair result. Before joining Tawney, Acosta & Chaparro, Mario worked as a defense attorney, giving him valuable insight into the opposing side. Mario received his B.A. in Philosophy from Texas Tech University magna cum laude followed by his J.D. from St. Mary’s University School of Law where he graduated in the top 6% of his class and obtained the Dean’s Award. During his law school career, Mario served the St. Mary’s Law Journal Vol. 52 as an Associate Editor. He served as a research assistant to two professors and ultimately contributed to three law review article publications. Mario was also the champion of the American Bar Association National Arbitration Competition in 2019 as a member of the National Mock Trial Team. In his free time, Mario enjoys working out, reading, and finding new places to eat around town.
