Michael Reese Davis is a founding and managing member of the firm. Since starting the firm, Michael has obtained multi-million dollar verdicts for plaintiffs in civil cases, complete verdicts for defendants in civil cases, and non-prosecutions, dismissals, and defense verdicts in criminal matters. Michael is widely recognized as an extraordinary trial attorney with significant experience in diverse areas of complex civil and criminal law, including contract and corporate fraud, business disputes, trust and estate litigation, qui tam/whistleblower actions, health care litigation, significant personal injury matters, public corruption, and money laundering. Over the course of his 35+ year career, Michael has served as lead counsel on hundreds of trials and significant evidentiary hearings in civil and criminal cases, some of which lasted for months. Michael has had an AV Preeminent Rating (professional excellence and highest levels of skill and integrity) by Martindale-Hubbell since 2001.
Michael attended Tulane University School of Law in New Orleans, where he was an honors graduate and members of Tulane's Moot Court Board and competitive trial team. Michael served as a federal prosecutor in Los Angeles for four years, and in Baton Rouge for six years. While a federal prosecutor, Michael received numerous awards and distinctions, including an excellence award from U.S. Attorney General Janet Reno and multiple commendations from federal law enforcement agencies, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Michael has proudly represented individuals and corporate clients alike, including Fortune 500 companies. He also serves as general counsel for a number of businesses, including health care providers.
