Mr. Pothitakis was born June 4, 1966 in Fort Madison, Iowa. He attended the University of Iowa from 1984 through 1988 obtaining a Degree in Finance and a Degree in Economics with Honors and with High Distinction.
Mr. Pothitakis enrolled in the Fall of 1988 at the University of Texas School of Law in Austin, Texas. He received his Doctor of Jurisprudence in the Summer of 1991. Since then Mr. Pothitakis has practiced primarily in the areas of workers' compensation and personal injury. The Pothitakis Law Firm, P.C. has offices in Burlington and Keokuk, Iowa.
Mr. Pothitakis is a Board Member of the Iowa Association of Workers' Compensation Lawyers, Inc. from 2005 to the present. Mr. Pothitakis was a member of the Board of Governors of the Iowa Trial Lawyers Association from 2006 to 2007. Mr. Pothitakis was a Board Member of the Workers' Compensation Section of the Iowa State Bar Association from 2000 through 2002. He was a member of the Workers' Compensation Core Group of the Iowa Trial Lawyers Association from 1999 through 2001. Mr. Pothitakis has been a long-standing member of the Iowa Trial Lawyers Association and the American Trial Lawyers Association.
Mr. Pothitakis is lifelong resident of Southeast Iowa. He is married to Carrie and they have three children.
