Patrick P. Hughes Attorney at Law
Anniston,
 AL

Attorney Pat Hughes dreamed of practicing law and following in the footsteps of his father, Col. Paul W. Hughes, who served with distinction as an attorney in the U.S. Army JAG Corps in the Dachau War Crimes Trials in Germany following WWII, in Korea and in Army posts throughout the United States. Pat Hughes graduated with honors from Anniston High School and attended college at the University of Alabama, where he was an officer of his fraternity and was selected as a member of Phi Alpha Theta History Honorary Fraternity. Upon graduation in 1975, he was admitted to the University of Alabama School of Law where he received his law degree in 1978. At that time, Mr. Hughes returned to Anniston to begin his practice as a small-town attorney. Pat Hughes is a premier plaintiff's attorney with a tradition of success. He has considerable experience and has handled thousands of cases throughout Alabama. He has successfully represented clients in car accidents, truck accidents, wrongful death, workers' compensation and Social Security Disability cases. He prides himself in keeping up to date with the most recent legal and technological advances in representing his clients. With more than 30 years of experience trying cases in the State of Alabama, clients find themselves in very capable hands. When your attorney is known throughout the legal system, it goes a long way in helping you receive a successful result. Pat Hughes has earned an AV_ Preeminent Peer Review Rating for his legal capabilities and devotion to professional ethics. He has served on the board of directors for United Cerebral Palsy and Calhoun County Cancer Society, and has served as an officer for the Calhoun County Bar Association. Mr. Hughes is an avid golfer, having won the Sunny King Golf Tournament and other golf tournaments. He loves to garden, likes the arts and enjoys spending time with his wife Sally and their four dogs. He started the University of Alabama baseball camp in Anniston, soliciting donations which allowed many underprivileged boys to attend this camp. During the early 1990s Mr. Hughes became involved in coaching high school boys basketball. He led several of his teams to the area championship and earned the title of County Coach of the Year three times. Mr. Hughes has one son, Parker, a graduate of the University of Alabama, Huntsville. After interning for the Alabama State Legislature, Congressman Mike Rogers and Governor Bob Riley, Parker now resides in Huntsville.
